I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, but with the way the weather is going, I think I’m going to have to settle for a warm Christmas instead.

I’ve already accepted the fact that El Nino is going to mess up my desire to wear wool coats and chunky knit sweaters until at least February, so I’m making the most of it by layering up in fun and festive layers. I think everyone needs to own at least ONE festive plaid shirt in their closet, bonus points if it’s flannel to keep you extra warm whenever the cold weather decides to come around.
Secondly, I think everyone should have some sort of bold statement coat (after your essentials are covered first like a neutral wool coat) lingering about that can be worn year round. I have had this Red Trench for a couple of years now and I love it! It’s extremely high quality and comes with a detachable inner lining.
A bright red trench and a layered plaid shirt will be the perfect casual Christmas outfit for those of us who like to wear jeans to our family outings. Not too dressy, but still festive enough and functional to run around with your kid cousins after dinner.
What do you plan on wearing for Christmas? Tell me in the comments below!

Your entire outfit is precious! I’m with you, I’m wishing for a white Christmas…but in Alabama it looks like it might be warm & maybe even WET!
Merry Christmas, anyways!
