Not Quite Fall

These in-between seasons are not my favorite to dress for.

Mornings are cool, afternoons are scorching hot and typically a stray thunderstorm will roll through wreaking havoc on your hair.

But if you have to dress for this weather, layers are your best bet.

Now that it’s officially fall September, I felt like bringing my booties out for a little romp in downtown Woodstock the other day. Since we were going to be out all morning and into the afternoon I decided to dress in layers since the weather can change by 20 degrees in the course of a couple of hours.

I think single-handedly the best clothing purchase I’ve made this year has been this Madewell Fleet Jacket. It’s perfectly structured to be dressed up and down, and it’s a nice washed olive color that helps preserve it’s versatility. I was even able to wear it in the thick of summer with shorts last seen here. I love pattern mixing so I dressed up my striped shirt with a wrap around red bandana scarf.

Fall Style A perfectly classic fall look- that unless we go back to wearing corsets and full bodied skirts in the next 20 years- you will be able to wear this for decades to come.

Do you have any Fall Favorite items you’re excited to wear soon?
