Sweet summertime: the days are longer, the afternoons more carefree, the sunshine more radiant and gives way to the perfect summer glow. Every year I try to steal away for an afternoon picnic- whether it’s a crowded Saturday afternoon in Piedmont, or retreating to a secluded riverside nook, picnicking enables me to do my favorite things: eating and reading outside.
