Lately, my wardrobe has consisted of wrap and maxi skirts. Even though our weather is increasing in temperature, these full-length skirts have provided just the right feminine touch to an everyday tee or dressed up a date night look. It’s a great way to “cheat the system” when maxi dresses don’t come in sizes long enough for those of us graced with an extra few inches.
Last summer I think I lived in two maxi skirts: this red one from Anthropologie, and a pleated pink one from Asos. This year, I’ve picked up (and window-shopped) for about a dozen other ones to add to my collection. There is nothing more feminine than a bright pattern and a full-length skirt for a summer stroll or soiree. It would be easy to pair any of these with a one shoulder top and some statement earrings for a dressier occasion or keep it casual with a tank and some wrap sandals.
And as I prepare for my return to Charleston next week, I’ve put together a packing list of some of my favorite maxi skirts that are tempting my wallet to make the purchase to come with me. I have to remind myself that I’ll only be there for four days so I don’t need to bring 12 days of clothing with me, but it’s fun to pack a little glam on a casual weekend away anyway.
Wonderful photos! I love your outfit, it looks so summery and beautiful!
I hope you’re having a brilliant Wednesday,
